About this agreement

By booking a session, submitting a form, or using this website you agree to these terms. Online Dog Trainer is operated by Tara Power, a qualified Canine Behaviour & Training Technician based in Ireland. If you have any questions, get in touch here.

Services provided

Online Dog Trainer offers the following services, delivered entirely online via video call:

  • Behaviour Consultations — a full behaviour and history assessment, live observation, a tailored training plan, and ongoing support
  • Follow-up Sessions — to review progress, adjust plans, and continue building on previous work
  • Dog Owner Support Sessions — a judgement-free conversation covering topics like routines, enrichment, gear, vet navigation, and general life with your dog

All training is evidence-based, welfare-centric, and grounded in current welfare science. Methods are informed by Tara's CBTT qualification and ongoing professional development.

Not veterinary advice

Online Dog Trainer provides behaviour training, guidance, and support — not veterinary advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If a medical or welfare concern is identified during a session, you may be referred to a veterinary professional or veterinary behaviourist. It is your responsibility to seek appropriate veterinary care for your dog.

Booking and payment

All sessions are booked through Calendly and paid for via Stripe at the time of booking. Prices are listed on the website and are subject to change. Any price changes will not affect sessions already booked.

Cancellations and refunds

  • You may cancel or reschedule free of charge up to 24 hours before your session
  • Cancellations within 24 hours of the session are non-refundable, as the time has been reserved for you
  • If Tara needs to cancel or reschedule, you will be offered a full reschedule or refund
  • All training and support sessions that have been completed are non-refundable

Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information in booking forms and pre-session questionnaires
  • Ensure a safe environment for your dog during video sessions
  • Follow training guidance at your own discretion — you know your dog best, and any plan should be adapted to what feels right for you both
  • Seek veterinary advice if your dog shows signs of pain, illness, or a sudden change in behaviour

Training plans and materials

Any training plans, notes, or resources provided are for your personal use only and should not be shared, reproduced, or distributed without permission. Plans are tailored to your individual dog and circumstances and may not be suitable for other dogs.

Limitation of liability

Online Dog Trainer provides professional guidance based on evidence-based methods. However, outcomes cannot be guaranteed as every dog is an individual. Tara is not liable for any injury, damage, or loss arising from the application of advice or training techniques discussed during sessions.

Website content

The information on this website is provided for general informational purposes. While every effort is made to keep content accurate and up to date, it does not constitute professional advice specific to your dog.

Privacy

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you also agree to how your data is collected, stored, and used as described there.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
